The new frontier for user-centred design
AI is in every service now. Be the person who can say if it's good enough.
Don't get left behind. Step your career up into AI evaluation and assessment: the skill every team building with AI now needs, and very few people have. A premium guided course that teaches you to assess prompts, outputs and guardrails with evidence. No coding.
Built for user researchers, service designers, product managers, business analysts, content and UX designers and consultants.
Fix the inclusion gap before wider rollout.
The kind of evidence you'll learn to produce
Why now
Teams are shipping AI faster than anyone can check it
Chatbots, assistants and AI-written answers are going into public services and products every week. Someone has to decide whether they are good enough for real people. That someone should be you.
Engineers test if it runs
Technical tests check that the system responds. They rarely check whether the answer is right for a stressed person on a phone, or whether it works as well for everyone.
Leaders need a clear verdict
"It looked good in the demo" is not evidence. Organisations need people who can say ready, not ready or ready with conditions, and show why.
You already have most of the skills
Defining good, gathering evidence, testing with real users and spotting harm are user-centred design skills. This course shows you how to apply them to AI.
Models change every few months. The question "is this good enough for the people who use it?" never goes away. That is why evaluation skills stay relevant whatever the next model is.
Who it's for
What this means for your role
Pick your role to see what you'll do differently, and one of the outputs you'll leave with.
What you leave with
Real outputs, not just certificates
Every chapter is a guided build. You work on a realistic AI service and finish with documents you can download as Word files and adapt for your own work.

Score one AI answer
This is a cut-down version of a Chapter 3 lab. Read the answer from a fictional transport assistant, score it against the rubric, then compare your scores with an experienced assessor.

Your guide
I've spent my career at the point where people meet technology
I'm Phemi Tolu Ajayi. I have served as Head of UX Research in a UK Government department, and I'm a trained GDS service assessor, so I know what a strong evidence case looks like from both sides of the table.
My path into AI started in 2004, studying Artificial Life and Intelligence Systems at the University of East London's Centre for Evolutionary Computing in Architecture, long before AI was everywhere. I studied how machines learn, adapt and evolve: neural networks, genetic algorithms, generative algorithms and cellular automata. Those are the ideas behind today's AI, and they taught me early that these systems behave in ways their builders don't always expect. I've since spent more than 20 years in software and over a decade leading user research across UK government and the NHS, including discovery work on how AI should be used in real services.
I was recently invited to give a keynote on the impact of AI on user experience as a discipline. The message was simple: the people who understand users are the people who should be judging AI. This course is how I teach that.
